she loves: brooke steuart's house

ohhhh i don't want to be materialistic, but I LOVE BEAUTIFUL HOUSES.

i love gorgeous homes with expensive stuff, custom upholstery, eye-catching art, marvelous sofas, amazing light fixtures, cavernous kitchens, sweeping window treatments, walls of windows, vast patios, oceanic pools, and the list goes on.

as une artiste i am quite unlikely to live in one of these homes, so i figure appreciating by looking and loving isn't much harm. and brooke steuart's house is perfect for such looking and loving.

case in point: LOOK AT THIS OVEN RANGE. what is that swanlike spigot for? and is that pepper grinder really painted the most subtle shade of shallow caribbean water? please help me.

LOOK AT THESE TILED STAIRS.
someone find me a sugar daddy. now.

one of my favorite spots in this house is this wicker conversation circle. it's so easy to imagine myself here with a group of friends after a sun-filled day and dinner on the grill, talking and laughing and playing cards. that enormous stone sculpture in the corner isn't half-bad either.

and since i don't live in a beachy mansion, i'm going to appreciate the small things about the space i occupy right now. so with that in mind, have i said lately how immensely glad i am that i painted my bedroom walls turquoise? sometimes i lie in bed and just sweep my fingertips over the wall. i sigh happily. i smile to myself. it's good.

houselove.
she.

Love those stairs, just love them.

The spigot over the range is for filling up big pasta pots with water. Apparently filling them up in the sick and carrying them over to the stove top is just too much for some :P
(I joke and yet, I'd totally install one if I could)
