i love this diptych. my favorite parts:

1. the curl in the ribbon of the balloon mirrors the curl of her hair
2. the sparkles on the water are actually diamond-shaped
3. the composition --- the diamonds on the water actually seem to radiate from the girl

mostly i just love wistful, pretty, girl-photography. there's something so feminine and emotional about so many of the photographers i see on Flickr. it's a nice break from the razor-sharp HD world we live in . . . sometimes the picture with a little bit of blur is that much more dreamy and beautiful.
