- classic and classy
- vibrant but subdued
- clean but not sparse.
there are pretty much 4 colors here: black, white, brown, and cerulean blue. his almost totally strict adherence to the scheme makes for an appealing cohesiveness throughout. there are very small pockets of color, too --- yellow flowers on the bookcase, pink flowers in the hall. i think it's this restraint of color that appeals so much to me. you should see the palette of colors in MY house --- it's enough to make you wonder if you might be colorblind! but this is Ron's house tour, not mine.
view from the back corner of the studio. to the left is the bed; to the right is the "living room" area. and for a look at that amazing little desk . . .
it's almost too much to handle: the perfectly cerulean ribbon around the lampshade that perfectly matches the porcelain animals. the fabric panel on the chair. the fork portrait (forkrait?). the perfectly fanned pens and pencils in their silver cups. was this apartment styled to within an inch of its life for these photos, or is Ron really this immaculate?
and finally, my favorite: the BED. i love how it looks like the bed folded down from the wall and landed with an inverse contrasting paint scheme! and something about the way the black and white frames are placed within the paneled space of the wall makes the world seem like an okay place to live in after all, doesn't it? or is that just me . . .

3. did you see the antlers in the bathroom, that was the only thing that weirded me out a bit.
