AT: house tour, boston.

one of today's house tours takes place in Beacon Hill, Boston --- a 400 square foot apartment. with a place that small, you really have to make the most of what you have (and what you don't have, probably)! i know that for me, the temptation would be to collect clutter. i liked the cozy, neat, but not minimalist feel of this place.

doesn't that couch with the "window seat" look like the perfect place to read in the afternoon and then fall asleep, waking up as the day wears on into dusk? and then you could make soup and wedge yourself back into the same corner and watch a movie . . .

i like the sparse pockets of pattern and color in this kitchen - they obviously don't have much space (look at that tiny oven!) and i think they gave it just the right amount of sparkle. i also LOVE bistro-height chairs.

the bedroom. it's funny how one framed piece of art and some well-placed decals can make the entire wall / room. nothing else is really needed to make the space unique and visually interesting.
